Boulder is a great place to dine out and eat well! You can dine at one of our 300+ restaurants or select fresh, locally made natural foods to cook a delicious meal at home. Either way you support Boulder, its eateries, and grocery stores.  From the Dushanbe TeahouseFrascaChautauqua Dining HallSalt, to Boulder Ice Cream there is no question why our town is frequently headlined in national magazines and newspapers. You can also take part in Boulder’s Local Table Tours which brings small groups on a “culinary walk” to a handful of locally owned and operated restaurants. Boulder has restaurants with every type of cuisine at every price range.  Three Boulder restaurants (The Flagstaff House, Frasca, and John’s) have made Zagat’s “World’s Top Restaurants” list with others earning national recognition.  You can find farm to table organic and local food, national chains, lots of fast casual places, and superb contemporary dishes by award-winning chefs.  Discover Downtown Boulder’s local breweries and outdoor cafés. Try one of Twenty Ninth Street’s 19 dining options before or after a movie at Century Theaters.

For a community with so many restaurants, we know how to enjoy ourselves in the kitchen.  A mecca of the natural and organic food industry, Boulder was the birthplace of Alfalfa’s, Wild Oats and Sunflower Farmers Markets grocery stores.  Boulder enjoys four Whole Foods stores, Sunflower Farmers Market, Sprouts Farmers Market, Vitamin Cottage, and Lucky’s Market. Our grocery stores include several King Soopers and Safeway stores that have extensive natural and organic food selections. Buying your groceries in Boulder is another way to Buy into Boulder.
